The 550 and 575M Maranello, produced from 1996 to 2006, represented a return to form for Ferrari. These elegant Pininfarina-designed GTs were the first front-engine, two-seat V-12 models built since the 365 GTB/4 Daytona ceased production in 1973. While all 550 Maranellos were equipped with the traditional six-speed manual, the vast majority of 575Ms were specified with Ferrari’s paddle-operated F1 gearbox. In all, just 246 examples were ordered with the optional gated six-speed manual gearbox; today, these rare “three-pedal” 575Ms are highly sought-after by collectors.
Delivered new to Boardwalk Ferrari in Plano, Texas, and carrying an original sticker price of $254,576, this particular six-speed manual 575M is finished in the attractive color combination of Grigio Titanio (Titanium Gray) over Beige leather. It was also factory-equipped with the desirable “Fiorano” handling package, Daytona-style seats, Scuderia shields, and 19" modular wheels, along with other notable options including interior carbon trim, Hi-Fi Stereo with Becker Silverstone CD changer, and leather upholstered luggage shelf.
Originally purchased by Marshall Fisco of Dallas, Texas, the 575M was sold in July 2007 to its second owner, Gary Jones of Sarasota, Florida, who exhibited it at the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic in January 2008. In 2010, a New Jersey-based collector acquired the Ferrari and retained it until earlier this year, when it was sold to the consignor. Today, the Ferrari remains in well-preserved original condition and the odometer showed less than 9,100 miles at the time of cataloguing.
Records on file indicate that authorized dealers (including Boardwalk Ferrari, Ferrari of Tampa Bay, and Algar Ferrari) as well as specialist firms carried out service work for the three prior owners. Overall, the 575M presents well in all respects, although there is some wear on the wheels and bumpers, and the interior possesses some “sticky” finishes, common among Ferraris from this period. Significantly, the car is offered with its original books, tools, and accessories, as well as a copy of the window sticker and a CARFAX Vehicle History Report.
